Good bedding is quite literally life changing. We spend roughly a third of our lives in bed (33 years for the average person!), so why are we still sleeping on sheets made from synthetic materials? At HSB, we’re looking for brands that prove you don’t have to sacrifice style, comfort, or luxury to make a better choice. These five bedding brands are doing things differently, from European linen and organic silk to innovative plant-based materials and helping make the world a better place, one purchase at a time.
Here are the five bedding brands we’re officially calling "HSB Approved".

Piglet in Bed
If your dream bedroom looks like a cozy English cottage had a very chic baby with a European farmhouse, meet Piglet in Bed. The brand makes beautiful bedding and home goods from natural, responsibly sourced fibers including European linen and traceable Merino wool, with most of its collections crafted in Portugal. The brand prioritizes long-lasting materials over fast trends, and the majority of its products are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Piglet also works closely with its manufacturing partners to maintain ethical and social standards throughout production.
Why we chose it: Aside from the fun name and their entire brand being cozy and adorable, the brand is intentional about what goes into its products, where those materials come from and who makes them. Their main linen partner is a century-old, family-run textile mill where many employees have spent their entire careers.

Clementine Sleep
Clementine Sleep takes beauty sleep very literally. The brand creates luxurious pieces from 100% GOTS-certified organic mulberry silk, using natural materials and GOTS-certified dyes rather than synthetic blends. Clementine’s approach goes beyond the fabric itself: the brand emphasizes ethical manufacturing, plastic-free packaging and products designed to last rather than be discarded after a season. It also donates 1% of every sale to Feeding America.
Why we chose it: Clementine is basically our definition of Luxury with Purpose and is one of those rare unicorn brands that fits into every of HSB’s causes. We love brands that don’t make you choose between feeling fabulous and doing better, and Clementine proves you don’t have to!

Coyuchi
Coyuchi has been making organic home products since 1991, long before “organic bedding” became a buzzword. The brand uses 100% organic, natural materials across its bedding collections, including organic cotton and French linen, and many products carry meaningful third-party certifications including GOTS and Fair Trade. GOTS addresses not only the organic fiber itself but environmental and social standards throughout textile production, while Fair Trade certification supports safer working conditions and fairer wages.
Why we chose it: This entire brand is built around creating a more responsible home. We love its commitment to natural materials, supply-chain transparency and certifications that actually mean something. And, importantly, the bedding is gorgeous. Better materials, beautiful design, better treatment of people is SO very HSB!

Bed Threads
Ok this is one of those "Size is relative, Impact is not" brands. Bed Threads made linen bedding cool. The brand launched with 100% French flax linen bedding and has built a cult following around its bring and fun colors and mix-and-match approach. We love their 2-toned comforters and color schemes. Their linen is sustainably crafted, carbon neutral and OEKO-TEX certified, and their organic cotton collection is GOTS certified.
Why we chose it: Bed Threads has turned natural-fiber bedding into a design statement. Its endless color combinations make it feel more like fashion than traditional bedding. Their focus on linen, organic cotton, responsible production and durability gives the product a purpose beyond looking pretty.

Bearaby
Bearaby is best known for their weighted blankets and sleep products, using materials including responsibly sourced cotton, Tencel, Lyocell and innovative materials like Terraclay. Its products are Fairtrade International and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
Why we chose it: Bearaby is doing something we love at HSB: rethinking an everyday product from the ground up. Instead of simply making another weighted blanket, the brand has questioned what traditionally goes inside one, and found alternatives to plastic and glass fillers. Add Fairtrade-certified manufacturing and thoughtfully sourced materials, and you get a product that’s designed to be better for both people and the planet. Plus, they’re ridiculously cozy!

The HSB Bedding Rule
You don’t need to replace every sheet in your house tomorrow. Start with the piece you sleep on the most, choose natural fibers when you can, look beyond vague marketing claims and pay attention to certifications that actually tell you something.
Better bedding & better brands creating it exist, and you just might be very surprised how much it improves your life!
"A mission statement is just a layout placeholder until it is validated by a user's actual experience. True brand alignment isn't found in the copy; it’s proven in the friction—or lack thereof—in the daily user journey."
Mission statement isn't a static asset you design once and forget. It is a live promise. In a fast-paced market where users have endless alternatives at their fingertips, authenticity isn't a design aesthetic—it’s the ultimate competitive advantage.
